To me it seems only a risk to have the guitar shipped back and forth just to have someone to handwrite xxx/500 on it, but i'd like to have your opinion about that. Will it lose value in case i decide to re-sell it in the future? Someone may think i changed the neck and the guitar is not original? I have the email that confirms that the guitar is legit, so maybe this should be enough to prevent that?

Or should i ask for another Certificate of Authenticity? Or the fact that Gibson made a mistake, make this guitar a little more special? Like one of a kind? If I really like the guitar NOW, then I would not send it back to them and risk damage. What if they put a major scratch in it, it becomes a 'he said, she said' situation doesn't it?

You do have the email, so if you did want to sell it down the road and it became a sticking issue to prospective buyers then you could still send it back and have them add it.
