Training objectives • Engine room equipment familiarization; • System layout and flow diagrams; • Machinery control; • Control system; • Automation, alarm and safety system; • Emission control and fuel economy management; • Energy management; • Emergency operations; • Watch-keeping and troubleshooting; • Vessel resource management.

Simulator versions ERS 5000 is a light version with generic system layouts, facilitating familiarization with engine room systems for cadets and ratings. This version is ideal for maritime schools and colleges. ERS 5000 TechSim is an advanced version that provides an exact, detailed copy of vessel systems and simulates machinery and engine room compartments. The ERS 5000 TechSim version was developed for engineering staff and provides hands-on experience in watch-keeping, troubleshooting and resource management. This simulator is a solution for training centers, academies, governmental authorities, shipping companies and crewing agencies. Functionality Trainee software features • Ship’s diesel propulsion plant; • Ship’s electric power plant; • Auxiliary systems and machinery; • Local control from the engine room; • Machinery sound imitation; • Alarm systems with Sound & Visual Alarm Unit; • 3D visualization.

STSTC – These are softwares designed by the renowned Scientific and Technical Simulator Training Centre, and they provide advanced softwares for different types of marine applications including engine room, bridge, GMDSS simulation and many more. Engine Room Console (ERC) is a software and hardware engine room simulator, providing the Virtual Engine Room software and a desktop console for greater.

Instructor software features • Exercise editor; • Trainee briefing facility; • Monitoring and recording the trainee’s work in online mode; • Debriefing facility for viewing and analysing the recorded exercises; • Extended possibilities for exercise data printing; • e-Tutor evaluation and assessment system; • Integrated communications system. ERS SOLO A multifunctional stand-alone simulator with an Offline Instructor option, Exercise Editor and Debriefing. Smeshnaya scenka tri bogatirya.

This mode is designed for distance learning, equipment familiarisation, refresher training and competence assessment. ERS Network The classroom configuration is ideal for training and assessing a large number of students while achieving high instructor-to-student ratios. Objectives: • Instructor lead training; • Individual, group and team training; • Principles of operation and troubleshooting; • Diagnosis of vessel systems. Full Mission Configuration The full mission configuration is a replica of Engine Control Room, main switchboard and Engine Room compartments. The configuration is ideal for training engine room teams and officers in charge of machinery in the following areas: • Team management; • Communications protocols; • Advanced operation and troubleshooting; • Resource management; • Emergency operating procedures and machinery disaster management; • Human factors training; • Assessment and examination, final training and certification.

Cruise, Offshore, and Tanker Training for Engineers Our ERS 5000 TechSim can accommodate several models including podded and conventional vessels, diesel-electric, and slow or medium speed plants. The ERS 5000 TechSim meets the requirements of the STCW Code and allows Resolve Maritime Academy to offer courses for engineers from all sectors of the maritime industry including the cruise, offshore, and tanker sectors. Courses utilizing the simulator include instruction on engine room familiarization, mock trials, start-up from blackout, resource management techniques and best practices during normal, abnormal, and emergency conditions including potentially catastrophic scenarios.
