Drajver Dlya Lpt Porta Windows 7

Hi I need some urgent assistance. I make use of Altium Designer software. However since I have upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7 64-bit Professional I cannot run my software. I receive an error 'Parallel Port Driver is not Supported by 64-bit Windows'. According to Altium Designer support this is a Windows problem. They suggested running the program in Compatibility View but this also comes up with the same error.

I use to run my programs on Windows XP without any problems or errors. Please assist me with a solution as to how to fix this error. Hello DatTran, Welcome to Microsoft Community Forum. Parallel port drivers are implemented to enable the functionality of communicating with printers and other devices that are connected to parallel ports. As suggested by Microsoft MVP & Community Moderator Ronnie Vernon Windows 7 does not include 64-bit Parallel port drivers. You might have to contact the device or the software manufacturer to get the parallel port drivers.

For information about parallel ports, you may refer the Microsoft article below. Introduction to Parallel Ports and Devices.

Driver for Iomega Legacy Parallel Port Drive. I have tested on a Zip 100 Parallel Port on Windows 7 32 BIT (THIS DRIVER IS FOR 32-BIT ONLY) and it works perfectly. The driver has been ripped out from Windows XP. As Iomega decided that were no longer going to support this device I looked for alternate.

Hope this information is helpful. Feel free to write us back if you have any other query or for any further assistance, we’ll be glad to assist you. Regards, Mann Manohar.

The printer is a HP Photosmart 7520. It can be easily be replaced if that helps. The Dos app reports are all 132-character wide printouts originally designed to print on tractor feed paper. The app as the ability set print strings including compressed print, portrait or landscape to an laserjet that understands print codes PCL5 or PCL6. I am going to look into DOSPRN. Seems I remember an app called DOS2USB or something like that.

Thanks for all the attention. Also, there appears to be an issue with running in compatibility mode. My client tells me the window is too small and slow.

The ultimate solution may be to purchase a used XP box and laserjet, but really would like to move him to windows 7. For a recommendation I would need more info about your requirements. Do you need colour?

What print speed do you need? How many trays? Would you prefer a networked printer, or do you want to stick with USB (networked usually causes less trouble)? If networked, do you want wired or wireless? What is your budget? Apart from the price and interface, none of these questions are relevant for DOS.

They would only be important if you want to replace the HP. In that case, do you want an all-in-one? Is photo quality important (lasers are not as good as inkjets for photos)? I'm only interested in getting my DOS program to print to black and white paper.

The original printer was a LJ3 or LJ4. With USB, my client should be able to keep his other printer for use with his windows apps. We have tech over at the clients working with us. We are having to run the program in virtual XP mode.

We can print from there, but fonts are wrong size and no margins. Also, can't size the screen, so it is very small. When clicking on maximize, the window moves to top left corner of screen but doesn't get any bigger. Apk
